Minister of Trade and Industry Opens 18th Edition of PLASTEX
Egypt’s burgeoning plastics industry will be in full view over the next four days as PLASTEX 2022, the country’s leading industry and networking platform, kicks off today (January 9) under the patronage of of H.E Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The exhibition was officially inaugurated, by Her Excellency Nevine Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry, in the presence of other dignitaries.

PLASTEX 2022 to highlight the growing importance & opportunities within recycling
Following a study conducted in February 2021 by the Verynile team, a non-profitable organisation dedicated to cleaning the Nile river, the Egyptian Government launched a national strategy to reduce the usage of disposable bags, with a national committee being formed and chaired by the Minister of Environment and representatives of the concerned body to carry out the strategy.

PLASTEX returns in-person to showcase MENA’s growing plastics industry in January 2022
dmg events and ACG–ITF are pleased to announce the in-person edition of PLASTEX, where the industry will gather to accelerate investment and trade across Egypt and the wider Middle East and North African (MENA) region. Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Arab Republic of Egypt, PLASTEX will run from 9 - 12 January 2022 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC).
